Share Your Story: A Calming Master Bath Retreat with Heated Floors

Master Bath with Floor Heating under Tile PEWAUKEE, WI

Heated floors are pretty amazing.

Which is pretty lucky for us, considering that WarmlyYours specializes in floor heating systems. And while we already know how great radiant heating is, it’s still fantastic to hear how great it is from our customers directly when they participate in our “Share Your Story” program

One of those customers, Kowalske Kitchen & Bath, sent along this fantastic submission about a bathroom remodeling project:

Kowalske Kitchen & Bath was hired as the bathroom remodeler to update this Hartford, Wisconsin master bath. The couple wanted to turn the space into a calming retreat. The old bathroom was outdated with oak cabinets, purple laminate counters and only one sink.

The updated design included sleek, clean lines and a calming color palette. We gave them a large walk-in shower that features bench seating and a rain head shower. The couple also wanted a freestanding whirlpool bathtub for relaxation. The floating vanity offers plenty of storage, two vessel sinks and Cambria quartz counters.

The flooring is porcelain plank tile that looks like reclaimed wood with cracked paint and water stain details. We installed WarmlyYours TempZone Flex Rolls under the tile flooring.

The shower tile also has a wood look. The highlight of the shower is the stunning accent tile with brushed metal and natural stone.

Matt Kowalske, Vice President of Kowalske Kitchen & Bath, said that incorporating floor heating was a natural fit for this bathroom remodeling project.

“Due to our cold winters in Wisconsin, and the fact that the client wanted a tile floor, we suggested the client install radiant heating. Installation was a breeze.”

This project is just one of several that Kowalske Kitchen & Bath has worked with WarmlyYours on. Kowalske said that one of the reasons they have partnered with WarmlyYours in the past is the latter’s dedication to customer service.

“Our experience with WarmlyYours has been good. Support is always available to answer any spec or installation questions and they have always been able to troubleshoot any issues we’ve had.”

Kowalske said that he’s noticed some commonalities and trends amongst the customers of Kowalske Kitchen & Bath that want to include floor heating.

“Our typical customer is remodeling their master bathroom and looking for a relaxing space with upscale features and amenities.  They are looking to make their bathroom a retreat. Warm floors add a level of sophistication, making their everyday routine like a trip to the spa,” said Kowalske. “Most customers are looking for heated floors in bathrooms where they are walking with bare feet or in mudrooms where shoes are removed after coming inside.”

Kowalske said that there’s really only one issue when bringing up radiant heating with a client and this misunderstanding is easy to address.

“The biggest misconception is that heated floors are expensive. Actually, it's an affordable way to add a luxury feature to a room!” said Kowalske.
