gives us piece of mind. great idea.
Item Reviewed:great system.

Item Reviewed:This was installed & it has never worked. We took out the transformer & was told we needed to abandon the shower if it's not hooked up to the transformer as it was all wired together when the tile man covered the dam. There is no other way to make it work it seems - $1K down the drain. We are looking into going back to SunTouch or hydronic for the next big project with 7 bathrooms. Not good product advertising for the design trade if it's that difficult to fix. I've also used this product on two other jobs - one of which the electrician refused to place in the shower so there was additional mat left. The other one - we had to replace the control already.
Item Reviewed:Believe it or not the mats are finally installed in the floor tile but are still to be energized. This project has gone on longer than anticipated but it has also expanded. I'm confident that your product will work as well as all of the other materials that I've gotten from you. If I have a problem I'll be sure to check with you but I'm sure it will be fine and give me years of comfort.
Item Reviewed:I am giving a 5 star rating because the product is good and the overall documentation was good. The only thing I could not find was the factory resistance measurements. This is the second system I installed and it seemed to go quicker.
Item Reviewed:Circuit check worked fine. I found it reletively easy to hot glue the mat down as well as a few "free-form" areas. I buried the heat mat using one coat of mortar and "orange waffle" poly tile seperation mat (by others). The heat cable is pretty tuff so I thought it was pretty easy to cover with mortar w/o damaging it.
Item Reviewed:I installed this myself by carefully following the supplied instructions. I'd say my floor area shape was more complex than most but instructions were good & exact. I used the hot glue on my plywood subfloor. I buried the heat mat under one coat of mortar and the orange tile seperation poly mat (made by others). Then layed my floor tile over that the next day. Even though only half the floor is heated there are no cracks in any of the grout joints. Warmly was quick to answer any questions I had. Good Customer Svc. for sure.
Item Reviewed:wonderful product only problem is design you layed out for us leaves cold spots on the ceramic tile floor in the spots where there are no heating wires. Had this been accounted for at design time I would have asked for a design that had extra grid on all areasof the floor that are walked on.
We can easily help with that! Send us a plan with the right dimensions and we provide a custom installation plan for every job, at no cost. This plan will show your exact coverage to make sure you don't get cold spots.
excellent product! despite extreemly snowy winter in new york I never had to shovel the entry way, nor did i slip on any ice. thank you for a great product. one recommendation: that you produce a model for those of us who already have a gfci outlet outside so that we can leave the mat plugged in and just use a switch to energize the outlet, this would eliminate the need to go out in the cold to press the reset button on the mat's integrel gfci to turn it on when bad weather is expected.
Item Reviewed:Wow! These are great!!!
Item Reviewed:This is the 4th bathroom I have installed WarmlyYours heated flooring in. In all cases the product has been great and we love it. Paul
Item Reviewed:Of the 3 treads I recieved, 2 of them werked well. The 3rd one worked for about a week and stopped working. I found a black scorch mark on the step, under the tread where the connection was made. After that the GFI would not stay set. I think there must have been a defect in the tread or the connector. I have yet to contact the company about this issue as it is spring and it not needed.
Hi Steve, Sorry about the issue and thanks for the feedback. We have just followed-up with contact information to arrange for a return.
I use it behind a shower mirror. Does not seem to take away the mist as well as I thought it would. Maybe it has to be on for a longer period of before getting in?
circuit check made it real easy to ensure you didn't have problems with the wiring before you layed the tile ... and again after all remodeling was complete to make sure I didn't jiggle the wiring in the box.
Item Reviewed:So awesome waking up in the morning during the winter months, heading into the bathroom and having a toasty warm tile floor. You product works wonderful. I can't say enough good about it.
Item Reviewed:love the product a nice even heat my only complaint would be that it takes a while to heat the room ( it is in the basement so this is understadable )
hi John, we have just edited our Environ II page to add more information about insulation to increase floor warm-up time. When designing projects for customers, we recommend cork for installations over cold slabs. Thanks for your helpful comments!
Once I learned that the batteries in the circuit checker had a very limited life I realized I should not have left it on during complete install. Better to just stop and test along the way. Got a false reading at end. I realize a better checker is avail but more money. Maybe bold print instructions about battery life or some such.
Item Reviewed:System has been up and running smoothly for 4 months now. The install went well except for the thermostat sensor and two lead-in heating element wires which elevated the floor tiles due to their thickness. Programmable thermostat functions well and is a necessity to manage electric costs. I had to install a cork underlayment because of the concrete flooring. This should be indictaed in the instructions otherwise the desired temperature will not be attained. Overall this is agreat product and folks around here are not aware of the availability of radiant electric floor heating. Being that this was installed into a basement bathroom its a pleasure to step onto a warm floor pre and post shower.
Item Reviewed:The tempzone roll was easy to install and with the Ditra system combined, the installation was done in a single day. The problem I have is with the temperature control unit. It is hard to read and does not light up (background lit) when adjusting the time/zones or setting temperature. I find this to be a problem with my Age in Place customers who have difficulty seeing and pushing buttons (60+ years of age).
Item Reviewed:The system was very easy to install and it works very well. The customer support was fantastic. My only challenge was during the install, I found it very had to build up a thick enough layer of thin set to cover the heating element, the next time I install a system, I will use the self leveling compound, even though it will be more work.
