Lake Zurich, Ill., May 1, 2024—WarmlyYours has launched a brand new electric floor heating cable geared towards professional customers.
The radiant heating manufacturer announced the launch of the TempZone™ Floor Heating Ruler Cable earlier this week. The Ruler Cable is the first electric radiant heating cable to come with easy-to-read hash marks at every half-inch, inch, and foot increment. According to the company, this innovative design, along with a free SmartPlan installation plan from WarmlyYours, will ensure the installer is using the proper amount of cable while they’re laying it out along with making sure the heating elements are in the proper location. This will help guarantee a smooth installation of the floor heating system and even heating coverage for the end user.
The TempZone Floor Heating Ruler Cable is meant to be embedded in thinset or self-leveling compound beneath a wide range of floor coverings like tile, marble, stone, LVT, and more. The cable provides 3.7 watts per linear foot (9-15 watts per sq. ft. depending on spacing). The Ruler Cable is also more durable than many other comparable cables due to its crush resistant ETFE (fluoropolymer) core insulation and high-temperature PVC jacket. Additionally, the elements of the cable are constructed in such a way that the cable has exceptional flexibility in nearly all directions.
The TempZone Floor Heating Ruler Cable can be installed in two different ways: with GripStrip™ fixing strips or with an uncoupling membrane like the Prodeso Membrane. The GripStrips are complimentary and are the most economical option for installation. Using an uncoupling membrane provides benefits like speed of installation and crack isolation.
